Peter found this baby name website, a way to see how the popularity of first names has changed throughout our country in the past century. I could play with it all day long. I find it really interesting not only what names have come and gone in popularity, but how many more names are now out there. It seems like in the last few decades, having a weird name has become much more ok than it used to be. It also shows how my favorite names are suddenly super popular (i.e., Madison). I guess I'll have to have a boy first since his name isn't high up there yet.

Zeta Rho
Last week I poured my heart into recruitment at Bentley College. I obsessed over it, couldn't sleep over it, and it didn't work out how I wanted it to. I was upset and depressed all weekend, but now I'm starting to feel better. It is so awful when you work so hard on something you care so much about, only to have it not work out at all and disappoint you. Regardless of how things turned out though, I have found that my love has only grown stronger, and I am proud of what I and others have done. Zeta Rho is the best chapter in the world, and I love them even more than my own chapter. The sisters at Zeta Rho make me so proud to be a sister of Alpha Phi.

I'm leaving my babies!
I was hoping my brother could watch the kitties while we are in FL, but he's now coming down with us. So I'm now begging you all to care for my babies. It won't be hard, they are super cute and sweet. All you have to do is make sure they have enough food and water, check on them maybe every other day, get the mail, and maybe change the litter once if it gets too gross. We'll do something nice for you if you do it. Please!!! Thank you!

Friendster
I finally got into Friendster a bit. I'd signed up in July or so but never updated my profile until recently. It's better than Orkut, which never became what I thought it would. My problem is that I only have 5 friends, it's sad. I've asked a bunch of people (*cough*Dave and Allison*cough*) to accept me, but they won't. I'm still trying to figure out how to use it, and I still need to find a good pic to add. But it's sort of a neat idea, to see how you are connected to others. Sort of like facebook, which I wish we had when I was in college. So if you are on Friendster, look me up or let me know!

No Gmail? I've got tons.
I have 50 invites to gmail now. Doesn't anyone want one? Come on! I know you do, or you must know someone who does. I hate having them there, I just want to use them up and be done with them. But I don't want to give them away to just anyone on the internet. How lame! So tell your friends and families the benefits of gmail, and I'll send them a few invites. :)

I am the Guardian of Society
I got this personality test from Liz's blog. Technically it's a temperment sorter. I took it, the whole time thinking that I was messing up those questions that they ask twice in two different ways to make sure that you aren't lying. I felt like I was saying I'm two opposite things. But it turns out that I didn't mess up at all. I am a Guardian. And this really is me to a T. I am on a personal level very conservative, and I believe in rules and doing what you say you will, and I like to manage things so that I can control how they go and others won't mess them up. So here is what it says about me. If anyone takes it, I want to see what it says about you. Post it on your blog or email it to me or something.
Guardians
Guardians, are the cornerstone of society, for they are the temperament given to serving and preserving our most important social institutions. Guardians have natural talent in managing goods and services--from supervision to maintenance and supply--and they use all their skills to keep things running smoothly in their families, communities, schools, churches, hospitals, and businesses.
Guardians can have a lot of fun with their friends, but they are quite serious about their duties and responsibilities. Guardians take pride in being dependable and trustworthy; if there's a job to be done, they can be counted on to put their shoulder to the wheel. Guardians also believe in law and order, and sometimes worry that respect for authority, even a fundamental sense of right and wrong, is being lost. Perhaps this is why Guardians honor customs and traditions so strongly--they are familiar patterns that help bring stability to our modern, fast-paced world.
Practical and down-to-earth, Guardians believe in following the rules and cooperating with others. They are not very comfortable winging it or blazing new trails; working steadily within the system is the Guardian way, for in the long run loyalty, discipline, and teamwork get the job done right. Guardians are meticulous about schedules and have a sharp eye for proper procedures. They are cautious about change, even though they know that change can be healthy for an institution. Better to go slowly, they say, and look before you leap.
Guardians make up as much as 40 to 45 percent of the population.
