The Killers

I just discovered The Killers. They are great, I really like all of their songs a lot. Their video to Mr. Brightside reminds me of a Nirvana video (In Bloom maybe?), probably because of the suits. I also discovered some other good music that my brother gave me to download, like Phantom Planet and Modest Mouse and Ryan Adams. Does anyone have any similar suggestions for me? It's hard to find good music when I only know of Top 40 radio stations and one 90s alternative station from Maine.

oooh! oooh! oooh! can you make a me a mix of the Killers and Modest Mouse? I've never heard of them, but I keep reading about them. I am ignorant of all these up-and-coming good artists. The ones I keep hearing about over and over and over are:

Interpol
VHS or Beta
Yeah Yeah Yeahs
Franz Ferdinand
Freezepop
Air
Postal Service (actually, heard one song by them that i liked)
The Faint (heard a few, and I liked)
Scissor Sisters

ask your brother about them.

I can totally make you up cds of them. I'll give them to you the next time I see you. If I forget though, definitely say something. Yell at me. But I won't forget. :)

I've only heard of about half of those people who listed. Air totally rocks though, I really like them.

I'm a huge fan of the Killers myself as well as Franz Ferdinand and Modest Mouse. Also love the Yeah Yeah Yeahs (I have all of this music if you want it). Jimmy Eat World is also very good and the Strokes and Jet as well. IF you want something a little more mellow, Rhett Miller (of Old 97 fame) has created one of the most beautiful CDs in the world. Oh, the Shins are also very good and Snow Patrol is starting to make a splash. I'm so glad we finally have some decent music again.
